  • Your system is simply bad ass!

  • Awesome system! Now you’ve got me thinking about adding solar. :-)

  • thats really cool he must save alot

  • Hey Kevin

Can you make a vid about showing how you wired up the 12 volts? Looks like in parallel?

    Thanks

  • I have heard really good things about Cat Battries. Why not use Cat? I love your vids, I feel like we think alike.

  • Good job things looking better and better. I still am in entry level one I get the panels on roof I should be able to really get off to a better start. I am only pumping max 370 back to grid now. And using batts. and another 100 watts or so for that on other panels. This keeps my tv lights and computers running at night. If I plug my mini fridge in though taxes batts quick.

  • @RoninX4 Thank you. I am not prone to flooding at all. There is no place for the water to pile up here. I am not saying it couldnt happen but it is unlikly. A place like Savannah or Charleston thats a differant story.

  • @engineer775 You are welcome. I love the videos you are doing aswell. Solar power is perfect for you. The trick is to size your system for the must haves and use the generator very little. Cheers my friend and thanks for the kind words. I may try to make it to SC in May.

  • @katz217 Thanks

  • Thanks for the look behind the curtain! Excellent system, you should be proud of all that hard work! How safe are the OBX for flooding? Obviously there is no room for all the equipment upstairs, do you worry about water in the basement?

  • Your system is fantastic! I have put all my energy into water, food and generators and have only done some low budget solar power , with panels, charge controllers and inverters. Your system is absolutely blowing my mind! I don’t know where to start on adding solar to my system of gensets. Wind is out for me but I would like to do some solar. Anyway, you have my mind racing and I appreciate you sharing your system!

  • Kevin good video, Always nice to see and update on you system. You got some really nice 12v batteries. Really neat to see 12 & 24v working.. Great job.

  • What a great looking system, you really give us something to shoot for. Right now I’m going to see if you made a video on just how you installed the wind turbine on the roof peak. Thanks for sharing your system and ideas with us.

  • How much are your utility bills? Just curious, it has got to be cheap! Also, have you ever got a check from the utility company by selling more than you take in?

  • Looks like you used your reload area for those new battery’s.

  • Great video!! Keep them coming..

  • Hey Kevin, Just wanted give you a shout and say that you put out the most informative and high quality videos(partnership is around the corner if not there already). Got a question.. Can you tell me why you dont have a propane fridge. You obvisouly got things together, I’m just wondering if there are any draw backs from propane fridges other than a fire hazard? I watched the video about your l.e.d setup, what do u think about these 2 watt led bulbs on the market now. r they woth the investment?
