Polar caps are shrinking fast and if we don’t act quickly it won’t be long before they disappear. Solar Powered Wind Turbine

Shrinking polar caps are not the only effect of global warming. The emission of green house gases, such as carbon dioxide in excessive amounts over the years has put the earth’s ecosystem in danger. Carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere through many sources, but none bigger than burning of wood or fossil fuels.

The R5800 is my latest and greatest solar creation. Made from an ordinary fiberglass satellite dish, it is covered in about 5800 3/8″ (~1cm) mirror tiles. When properly aligned, it can generate a spot the size of a dime with an intensity of 5000 times normal daylight. This intensity of light is more than enough to melt steel, vaporize aluminum, boil concrete, turn dirt into lava, and obliterate any organic material in an instant. It stands at 5’9″ and is 42″ across. Unfortunately, the R5800 was completely destroyed in a storage shed fire on December 14, 2010. music: “hypnothis” www.incompetech.com… Continue reading

Solar powered homes have steadily been increasing for the past 10 years and its because people realize the benefits of making your own solar panels. The main reasons is that solar panels are not that expensive to make and with enough research can be installed and used as a main power source.

The main problems of solar powered homes are quite a few, first you need to install the panels correctly, you should be able to avoid power outage, and of course setup a backup energy source just in case there is not enough solar energy… Continue reading
