I may try this I just started using my new table saw, this has inspired me. But I want a motor that will produce some amps for wind. Most of the treadmill motors have to turn very fast to produce more than 12 volts. I will be interested to see what you use.
Does that saw have a riving knife ? Looks like it’s been removed…. Any way, nice video, but you should use some push sticks, don’t want you to not be able to make any more vids!
FOLKS Please don’t waste precious wood making these, THEY WILL NEVER GET ABOVE 130RPM, follow Hugh Piggot’s plans THEY WORK as have proper graduated angles. These Amateurish ones don’t work i tried it 20+years ago!.
I am engrossed and astounded by how much work Dan gets out of so little of machine (ie, the old Sears table saw). I think this guy could reconstruct Noahs Arc with a 2 x 6 and his table saw. I would offer to buy him a new one but I am troubled that this would only stifle his artistic abilities. Bravo, Dan. Keep up the great work.
That’s truly amazing! I slashed my electric bill in half! look here: gdolim8.wspower4.hop.clickbank. net/?tid=yt (delete the space before ‘net’ when your pasting it in your browser)
Good videos, are you using wind powered electricity for your power tools? If not maybe you should it would make the whole project more Knowledgeable, like Dave Gingery on his metal building lathe, just my .02 . Good job though
Dan – a feather board (easily made from scrap lumber) will help to keep the lumber tight against the fence, and reduce the chances of kick back. Still and all, you were able to saw a pretty decent blank from your lumber! Excellent work!
OK Dan!!! , now that you have our attention. We need part 3..You don’t need to eat or sleep…..LOL
Here we go again, your giving me more ideas for the power plant to drive the blowers for my new solar heater that your other video got me to build…..Thanks for the inspiration and reasons to buy a new table saw…..
I feel another video post up and coming in the future my friend…

WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE
Visit: windturbinecarriedbywheels.weebly.com
ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they’re sealed underground.
SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since the turbines are slow-moving.
DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.
MAY BE LOWER-COST since it can use parts of junked trucks and others.
ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close.
HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.
Is this method ok for like a 20′ (6 mt) diameter turbine ?

Dumb question maybe, but why couldn’t you just use wood fence slats and angle them upon installation?
saw kick backs to shoots splinters D: O:

why don’t you use a “feather board” for added safety? that’s wood woorking 101.
